ResilPro360 four-step approach: Assess, Plan, Implement, Certify and Improve, with the five maturity levels from Glass Floor to Platinum Shield

From Assessment to Certification: How ResilPro360 Matures Your Resilience Program

Most organizations have invested in resilience. They have business continuity plans, crisis management plans, incident response procedures, and a calendar of exercises. Yet when leadership asks a simple question, it is surprisingly hard to answer: How mature is our resilience program, and is it getting better?

Part of the problem is that resilience work often happens in separate pieces. An assessment is completed, a report is delivered, and the findings sit on a shelf. A plan is updated, but never tested. An exercise reveals gaps, but nobody tracks whether they were closed. Each activity has value on its own, but without a structure connecting them, it is difficult to show real progress.

That is why we built ResilPro360™, PreparedEx’s end-to-end resilience improvement program. It brings our assessment, planning, exercising, and advisory work together into one structured path, from understanding where you stand today to achieving measurable, certified resilience outcomes.

Assess. Plan. Implement. Certify.

ResilPro360 follows four steps. Each one builds on the last, and the cycle repeats as your program matures.

1. Assess: establish an honest baseline

Everything starts with the PreparedEx Resilience Program Maturity Assessment (RPMA). We evaluate ten core areas that together determine how well an organization can prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruption:

  • Leadership Commitment and Governance
  • Risk and Threat Identification
  • Business Continuity Management
  • Crisis Management and Communications
  • Technology and Data Resilience
  • Organizational and Operational Resilience
  • Training and Awareness
  • Testing and Exercising
  • Compliance and Continuous Improvement
  • Cultural and Strategic Alignment

The assessment runs in four stages. We align on approach, timeline, and guidelines. We review your resilience plans and related materials and interview the people responsible for them. We score each area on a consistent 0 to 5 maturity scale and develop a remediation plan. Finally, we present the findings in a written report and issue a benchmarking certificate. The initial assessment typically takes six to eight weeks.

The key word is evidence. Scores are based on what your documents, records, and people can demonstrate, not only on what the program intends to do.

2. Plan: turn findings into a practical roadmap

An assessment is only useful if it changes what happens next. The second step translates the findings into a prioritized roadmap aligned to your organization’s risks, priorities, and objectives. Rather than trying to fix everything at once, leadership can focus investment where it will make the biggest difference to resilience.

3. Implement: strengthen and validate capability

This is where the roadmap becomes real. Depending on what the assessment reveals, the work may include risk and business impact assessments, developing or updating crisis management, business continuity, and crisis communications plans, training, and strategic advisory support for your leadership team.

Just as important, improvements are validated through exercises, from tabletop discussions to functional and full-scale simulations, so you know new capabilities work under pressure and are not just on paper.

4. Certify and Improve: measure progress over time

Resilience is never finished. The final step tracks progress, benchmarks performance, and drives continuous improvement through ongoing assessment and certification. Every organization that completes the assessment receives a Resilience Compliance Certification at its assessed maturity level, renewable annually as the program advances:

  • Glass Floor: minimal resilience capability, with foundational development needs
  • Bronze Framework: basic measures in place that need further development and integration
  • Iron Foundation: an adequate framework with some gaps to strengthen
  • Titanium Core: a robust program needing only minor improvements
  • Platinum Shield: fully optimized, industry-leading resilience with continuous improvement

One Number Leadership Can Act On

Boards and executive teams rarely have time to work through a detailed assessment report. ResilPro360 translates the findings into a single, board-ready metric: the Resilience Readiness Index™ (RRI™).

The RRI helps leaders understand overall resilience capability at a glance, compare performance with peers as the benchmark dataset grows, track year-over-year movement between maturity levels, and focus remediation and investment on the highest-value improvements. It gives leadership a clear answer to the question we started with.

Who ResilPro360 Is For

ResilPro360 is designed for organizations at any stage. If you are building a resilience program for the first time, it provides a structured starting point and a clear sequence of priorities. If you already have a mature program, it provides independent assurance, a benchmark, and a way to demonstrate progress to your board, regulators, customers, and partners.

In both cases, the benefits are the same: an independent assessment, RRI scoring, executive-ready reporting, a prioritized improvement roadmap, certification, and a framework for continuous improvement.
