00;00;00;00 - 00;00;36;01 Speaker 1 Hello and welcome to episode 129 of the Prepared podcast. I'm your host, Rob Burton, and this is the End of the Year show. So thanks for listening in. If this is your first time this year. Thanks. If you are listening each episode, we appreciate you. Thanks for joining us. And of course, as always, this episode is brought to you by first Look, which is a service by prepared, tailor made crisis simulation exercises that you can deliver. 00;00;36;04 - 00;01;05;27 Speaker 1 Go to prepared Dexcom first look for more information and I'll be touching on first look in this short end of year episode. So just want to start off by thanking, of course, all our customers that we've worked with throughout 2023. We really appreciate your business. It's been really cool to meet some new businesses, work with new industries, new people from all walks of life. 00;01;05;27 - 00;01;31;09 Speaker 1 It's just been really humbling, really, especially after the obviously previous two years that we've had over the old, you know, COVID years, so to speak. So, yes, been refreshing to get out there, hit the ground, run some exercises, of course, still delivering online as well, virtually, but getting back into the office and getting back out into the field, so to speak, and running drills and exercises. 00;01;31;09 - 00;02;07;11 Speaker 1 So, again, we appreciate all of our clients. And, you know, we look forward to seeing you again in 2024 and continuing the good work that is being done. So I'm excited to talk now about the launch of First Look Plus, so those of you that are familiar with Prepared X, we have our course service, which is of course is running exercises, tabletop functional full scale drills, anything in the simulation world where we help improve your readiness from all things nasty. 00;02;07;14 - 00;02;31;04 Speaker 1 And so of course our full service will continue into the new year and we're excited. We've all got already got a number of projects lined up for probably a three or four months of 2024 already. So that's super exciting and we're looking forward to that. Our first look service for those of you that are familiar with it is where we design a scenario and we hand it over to you and you deliver it. 00;02;31;04 - 00;02;51;20 Speaker 1 So you get all the bells and whistles, as I like to call them. So you get all the multimedia injects, you get, you know, obviously a good presentation. You get all those materials, you get the documentation to support an exercise and then you deliver it yourself so that that will continue. That will not change. We're just rebranding that as first look pro. 00;02;51;27 - 00;03;13;03 Speaker 1 So that'll be our first look professional service. And again, they'll be rebranded on the website coming up in January. And then on the back of that we've got a new service known as First Look Plus. So this essentially will be is a library of scenarios that you can go to the website and download and these will be licensed scenarios. 00;03;13;03 - 00;03;42;05 Speaker 1 So you take it away for the year and you can use it within your organization throughout that period of time. I think we're planning on upgrading them every six months so you can come back after six months and get the latest version of that scenario. So an example of that, if you're an organization that has a number of warehouses, will have an active shooter for a warehouse, will have a fire for a warehouse, will have different scenarios for different environments, different sectors. 00;03;42;12 - 00;04;17;05 Speaker 1 And of course, it's going to take a little bit of time to you know, cover all sectors for all scenarios. But certainly we're going to hit the ground running with about 10 to 12 scenarios within the library. And then we hope to add at least two scenarios each month going forward. So if you've got scenario ideas, you've got an industry that you think is being underserved from a crisis emergency business continuity standpoint, and there are scenarios that you would like us to create, then certainly drop me a line, you know, shoot me an email, give me a call if you've got my number and let me know and we'll add it to that to the 00;04;17;05 - 00;04;47;01 Speaker 1 list. So, yeah, super excited about that new service. And again, the goal for that is laser in January. I'm hoping to get that up and running So, you know, we can cover all aspects of the, you know, the, the industry, if you will. So if you're just starting out and you want to have a general idea of how scenarios are run, you can go to the website and get a first look plus scenario, download it, run it, run your team through it. 00;04;47;01 - 00;05;11;02 Speaker 1 And the good thing about those scenarios as well, there'll be a character in the top right hand corner, a video, a real person who's walking you through is essentially a guide for your exercise as you walk through the scenario. So you don't really need any expertise in running the first look plus scenarios within your organization. So that covers kind of smaller businesses and mid-sized businesses. 00;05;11;02 - 00;05;30;20 Speaker 1 And even though, you know, we probably have some larger organizations coming in using that service as well, which again is perfectly fine. And again, our first look, you know, regular first look service as it is right now, will become first look pro and of course, first look. Plus is the new service as I just went through that. So again, super excited about that. 00;05;30;20 - 00;05;50;24 Speaker 1 If you want more information before we launch, then feel free to reach out and I'll try and respond. Although the holidays are coming up fast here. Okay. One of the other areas I want to touch on that we've been working on throughout the year is the planning area. We've done a number of crisis management and business continuity plans for some of our customers. 00;05;50;24 - 00;06;17;19 Speaker 1 We've got a couple of projects still ongoing, so that's super excited. You know, we're upgrading plans of come from, you know, all kinds of different types of plans in the past. And you know, a number of our clients needed them updating to become tangible plans that we can actually use during an event. We can get our hands on them, we can train the team, we can activate the team, and we can quickly come together and have a set of tools that allow us to react to an to a situation. 00;06;17;27 - 00;06;43;23 Speaker 1 And so, you know, our customers are really excited about that. And those, you know, the couple of those projects will be culminating in January and February timeframe. So super excited to get those out to our customers. And one thing I do want to say is thank you to our contractors who have supported us throughout the year. So we've used a number of contractors this year more than we've used in previous years. 00;06;43;23 - 00;07;26;07 Speaker 1 So we're pleased to have you on board and of course, to my full time team here are prepared and I. CMC we really appreciate your support as always throughout the year and we had our Christmas lunch last week, so it was good to see a good amount of the team members together here in Newport, Rhode Island. And finally I just want to touch on getting ready for I CMC of course, as you know, prepared X and CMC are you know, under the same umbrella and I CMC, the International Crisis Management Conference annual conference is in June I think it's the fifth and sixth go to crisis conferences dot com for more information. 00;07;26;09 - 00;07;46;08 Speaker 1 Tickets will be available in January. So we're going to get the the final speakers up and onto the site and tickets will be available two day event again. So we'll have speaker day on the first day and the second day we'll have two or three training courses that you can attend, probably probably two courses this year, but more details to come. 00;07;46;15 - 00;08;10;10 Speaker 1 And again, if you're interested in saving the date, then go to our crisis conferences dot com and there's a page there you can sign up for the newsletter which will, you know, obviously due to the email list and you'll get all the latest information with regards to the tickets when they become available for when this conference becomes available for registration. 00;08;10;12 - 00;08;30;07 Speaker 1 So that's it. It was a quick wrap up here at the end of the year. We appreciate everything that you do and listening in to the podcast. If you're a customer that listens in, if you're just listening and enjoy the podcast, we appreciate it. Feel free to share it and rates us on iTunes or any of the other outlets where you listen to this. 00;08;30;12 - 00;08;50;15 Speaker 1 That really helps us continue to want to do more podcasts. We only do to a month on average, and we like that. It seems to work quite well for us out in the in the marketplace and it seems to do quite well on the podcast scene. We've been doing it for many years now, so thank you very much. 00;08;50;17 - 00;09;07;12 Speaker 1 Okay, that wraps it up for episode 129 and the end of 2023. We look forward to seeing you in the New Year. Have a safe time over the holiday period. And thank you for everything. Cheers.
